“Lil’ Joe was born in Montana and trained there. When he was about 7 or 8 years old, he was sold and moved to Salmon, Idaho where he lived for several years. His new owner occasionally used him for trail riding, but she couldn't ride him as much as she would have liked, so she decided to sell him. He then came to Idaho Falls in the Fall of 2019. There he was used for trail riding and for riding around the farm. Still, he wasn't ridden as much as would benefit him. Therefore, in 2022, he was donated to Champs Heart where he would receive more attention and love, and at the same time, would be a comfort to those who come to ride.”

“Well, this man may appear little, standing at 14 hands but if you can trust him, he will take you on flipping adventures. His golden dappled coat is just the reflection of his heart. With his black mane, tail, and legs, he loves being talked too, and even though he isn't a big favorite, he holds the hearts of the quieter few. He tries his hardest to be the GENTLE-man everyone needs. Just like in pulling a buggy and a sleigh, he throws his head and heart into everything and gives his best.”
